Clear Cove Medical Department

The Clear Cove County Medical Department is responsonsible for both EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and Hospital activities, they respond to 911 calls, prescribe medication, conduct therapy sessions and other things related to both physical and mental health. They have 2 leadership structures, 1 for EMS and one for Hospitals. The current Medical direcotr is Bernadine Pepper.

The CCCMD Hosptial roster consists of:

  • 1 Medical Director
  • 5 Department Managers (FP, RI, OR, ER and Psychward)
  • 5 Attending Doctors
  • 1 Chief Resident
  • 3 Resident Doctors

The CCCMD EMS roster consists of:

  • 1 Operations Manager
  • 2 Supervisors
  • 5 Paramedics
  • 5 Trainees

They currently have 2 active locations:

  • St. Peregrin hospital, Starford, KY (6 Ambulances, 2 Special Ambulances)
  • Starford Clinic, Starford, KY (2 Ambulances)

They currently operate 9 ambulances. This is the layout of a CCCMD License plate: "[Location Name] EMS Unit [Unit Number]", an example would be: "St. Peregrin EMS Unit 002" A trainee is issued both a trauma bag and a uniform bag, once they become ambulance drivers they also get a second trauma bag and a roadside kit, currently the most equipped ambulance is St. Peregrin EMS Unit 002, it has:

  • 2 Floodlights
  • 1 SAR bag
  • 2 Trauma Bags
  • 1 Clothing Bag
  • 1 Hospital gown & 1 Slipper
  • 1 Generator
  • 2 Stretchers
  • And more

On 08/15/94 ambulances started getting pushbars (+ Wraparound) for protection. They are also issued protective gear like a telescopic baton or taser.

Any hospital bound staff can issue prescriptions.
